When the setup is ready, before you start writing your test cases you need to insert the reference images into our Image repository. Open your Suitest app and select Image in the top menu. These reference images can be used by test operation assertingimage test subject.
Using the file explorer, select the image you want to upload.
Once the image has been selected, we will display the image preview. Inside the form, you should fill-in the name of the reference image as well as API ID (used e.g. inside Suitest JS API). In addition to that, you can also specify the region that the image should be visible at.
If you need to re-take the screenshot, there is a button on top.
Re-taking a screenshot
Once the selection window opens, a screenshot from the testing device is loaded. Use your mouse to select an image that you want to store (see no. 1 below). If you wish to store a complete screenshot as an image, avoid the selection.
Once you have the image selected, you can see that Suitest automatically detects the region (see no. 2 below).
Selecting an image and defining a region
Once your selection is complete, name the reference image and define the API ID (if needed, used e.g. inside Suitest JS API).
Reference images can be stored inside the folder structure - displayed on the left side. Suitest supports several levels of sub-folders which should make the structure sufficient for your needs.
When you want to update an image with a new version, just select the image from the storage structure and click on Re-upload selected image button in the top left corner.
Once you select the new version from file explorer, the image gets updated.
